Based on the program for postgraduate training in neonatology (Weiterbildungsprogramm) which became effective on July 1, 2001, passing an oral examination will be mandatory to obtain the subspecialty title in neonatology (Schwerpunkt Neonatologie) for candidates who have not completed their subspecialty training by December 31, 1999. It is recommended to take the examination no earlier than in the last year of subspecialty training.

2010 subspecialty examination in neonatology:

Date of examination: May 11 and 12, 2010

Examination site: Clinic of Neonatology, University Hospital Zurich (PD Dr. med. R. Arlettaz, PD Dr. med. J.C. Fauchère)
 
Application deadline: March 1, 2010

Examination fee: SFr. 800.- (payment slips can be obtained from Dr. med. Andreas Malzacher, treasurer of the Swiss Socity of Neonatology)
