Humanitarian Neonatology Award

In 2017, the Swiss Society of Neonatology established an annual prize for humanitarian neonatology, worth CHF 5,000 (increased to CHF 10,000 in 2019), to be awarded every two years. From 2023 onwards, the prize is sponsored by the start4neo Swiss neonatal resuscitation training program.

The prize aims to support projects that improve neonatal resuscitation practices, either directly or through training, and is awarded every 2 years.

Projects must be set up in low- or middle-income countries, be non-profit and likely to be sustainable.  To be considered, Swiss healthcare professionals must be involved.

The next Prize will be awarded in 2027.
